The Different Types Of Affiliate Marketing System

Affiliate marketing system is a new way of earning while sitting at home, and it is gaining huge popularity and several people are joining in this business. First of all for those of you who have not heard of this concept before, affiliate marketing is nothing but advertising for a product through a website created by you providing relevant product information. If anyone visiting your website places a purchase order for that and a sale is made through you a fixed percentage of commission is paid to you, simple right?

Firstly you will have to create a website and fill in the relevant information of the products you wish to be affiliated to. You will have to make a survey and find out which products are much in demand and which products have super sales. Then you will have to join in their affiliate program. Some companies offer terrific commissions and get rich overnight plans, please do not trust such companies; most of them turn out to be fraudulent. So be careful while you select the companies.

There are some who wish to join affiliate marketing system just for short term gain and they do not wish to create their own website, but for a long term plan for a sound business system one will have to go through the process of creating their own website.

There are different types of affiliate marketing systems and the common among them are:

Pay Per Sale: This is a system where a banner is placed on the website and when a visitor to this site clicks on it, goes to the advertisers website and ultimately places an order for the product, the website earns a commission out of the sale.

Pay Per Click: In this commission is paid depending on how many clicks are made on the advertisers banner. There are a lot of problems in this as friends and relatives wishing to help may keep clicking several times to ensure that their friend earns good commissions. To overcome this, a technique known as IP tracking is used to find out how many are genuine clicks and only those get paid. This is preferred usually just to create awareness in the public to the product being marketed by them.

Pay Per Link: Actually in this a link of the affiliate website appears on the sidebar or footer or sometimes within the article. This is not common these days since it is not much appreciated by Google who has reduced search ranking of such websites who use this system to advertise.

Some of the other types are Pay Per Print Out, where advertisers pay if coupons are printed from this website and if the coupons are used in an offline sale, the website creator gets a commission on that too. The others are Pay Per View where the ad is displayed for a fixed number of visitors and once it is reached the affiliate get paid; and Pay Per Signup where a sale is not compulsory to earn commissions, the advertiser is more keen on securing email ids addresses and other details of the visitors who can be targeted to promote their sales; this is also known as Pay Per Lead. So, with this basic information one can start affiliate marketing system to generate income for them.
